Continue the following after care steps 3 times daily for approximately 14 days and then twice a day for the following 2-4 weeks.

You may see some pooling of fluids & ink while the Recovery Derm is on; this is normal. If the seal breaks and you have seepage, follow the instructions below.
-
Wash your hands with an antibacterial soap before touching your tattoo.
-
At the end of day 3 after getting tattooed, run warm water over the adhesive and peel it off as you would a bandaid. Pull down not away from tattoo.
-
Using your fingertips only, gently but thoroughly wash your tattoo and the surrounding area with warm water and antibacterial soap. Rinse with cold water. This will help bring the swelling down.
-
Let the newly cleaned area air dry or pat dry with a clean towel.
-
Apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment or cream like Aquaphor to the area to keep it hydrated.
-
If you have a foot tattoo, after applying ointment wrap your cleaned tattoo in in sterile dressing, then cover it with a clean cotton sock before putting on a shoe. (Avoid Sandals or flip-flops that rub on your tattoo for the first couple weeks) Note: tattoos on the lower extremities take longer to heal because they’re farther away from your heart.
